Part-Time Youth Resource Centre Facilitator
Duties: The Youth Resource Centre Facilitator provides oversight of the Youth Resource Centre (YRC) facility at Oceanview Education Centre during drop-in times or planned events, providing supervision of the youth, keeping with the Policies and Procedures of PRCYFSS. As this position is linked to the school year, this position runs 38 weeks per year.
The YRC Facilitator will develop and deliver programming in an after school drop in program two afternoons per week for youth aged 9-12. Programming may include arts and crafts, cooking, outdoor fun, gym time, games and fun activities. Program development to support participating tweens and youth and help them to develop relationships and build social skills that enhance peer to peer interactions is key.
Qualifications: Preference for a Bachelor’s Degree in related human/social service field and recent related experience.

The Powell River Child Youth and Family Services Youth Leader will assist in programming for youth ages 9-12 focused on friendship, inclusiveness, and community building at the PRCYFSS Youth Resource Centre (YRC).
Part-Time Youth Resource Centre Youth Leader
YRC Youth Leaders are students in Grade 12 or University/College (Grade 11 student with excellent qualifications may be accepted) who can work in a team environment engaging with youth ages 9-12. Youth Leaders must take and follow direction, lead other youth, listen and learn, be punctual, be responsible towards commitments, be creative, solve problems, be compassionate, empathetic, and inclusive and be able to engage and involve youth who may have barriers.
6-7 hours/week. The positions will finish at the end of the school year. Work hours are after school on Wednesday/Thursday.
Wage is $16/hour.
