Youth Resource Centre Co-Facilitator

Powell River Child, Youth and Family Services Society is seeking a part-time Co-Facilitator for the Youth Resource Centre for after school hours 3 days per week. We are seeking an adult who has experience working with youth and who is a motivated, energetic, organized, creative, outgoing individual and has excellent leadership and communication skills.

Priority will be given to applicants who have experience offering programming in the areas of art, music, and recreation. A valid Class 5 driver’s license, reliable vehicle and satisfactory criminal record check is required. The pay rate is $21 – $24.50 per hour.

Family Enhancement Counsellors

Youth & Family Powell River is growing! We are seeking dedicated, compassionate people to work as Youth & Family Enhancement Counsellors. Positions range from 20-30 hours per week. We offer a competitive wage and benefits package and a great team of people to work with. The wage is $30.81 per hour ($27.81 per hour during the probationary period).

Duties: Provide counselling, support, information, and group/parenting training programs to youth and/or families experiencing difficulties. Service is delivered primarily in community settings and client homes and will require flexible hours.

Qualifications: Minimum education requirement of a BSW, BA in Child & Youth Care or bachelor’s degree in related human services field and experience working with youth and/or families. A valid Class 5 driver’s license, reliable vehicle and satisfactory criminal record check is required.
